On the 10th of September my family and I went to Japan. I went with my mum, dad and my little sister Harriet. Our flight was at midnight so we left at 8:00pm. When Harriet and I arrived back from school, we had a nap. ( Mum said so. I didn't.....) By the time I woke up from my nap, it was quarter past 7. We got our luggage organised and waited outside our front gate for the taxi. When it arrived my family and I expected a normal cap, but we got a van all to ourselves! ( Although the van wasn't that big.) When we arrived at the airport we headed to the checkouts, went through customs, had a hot chocolate, caught up with Ms. Anderson Harriet's old prep teacher!, ( She and her husband Michael were going to Japan too! )And were even on the same flight as us as well!) and went to our gate and waited..... and waited...... until finally we could go on the plane. I was very happy that there were televisions on the back of seats! After a while it was pitch black outside, Harriet sat next to the window, mum in the middle and me, next to the isle. Dad was on the other side. I watched a bit of music for a bit, then mum said we had to sleep! UGH!!! Harriet fell asleep straight away! ( I was really surprised.....) On the other hand, I found it really hard to get to sleep. I fell asleep for about an hour which only felt like minutes. When we arrived, we caught two trains to our hotel. It was morning by the time we were in Tokyo. Then mum and dad couldn't find the hotel and were trying to figure it out where it was, while I was standing with a really heavy backpack, heavy suitcase, I was hot and bothered and had sore legs! We finally found it! But we had one problem...... The door wouldn't open!!!! I felt like dying!!!! My mum messaged a guy who was in charge of the hotel to help. But he lived on the other side of the town!!! So we had to wait an hour for him to get there. Soon he arrived and got the door open. As soon as we knew it, it was time to go to Hokone! I reckon it was my favourite place in Japan so far. We went to museums, shops, restaurants and lots of other stuff! The hotel in Hokone even had a hot tub! After 3 nights in Hokone, we caught the train to Kyoto. Went to our hotel and had a rest. The beds in the hotel were actually pretty comfortable! Ms Anderson and my mum had organised to have dinner together with all of us. The only problem was...... there was a storm! So we travelled in the heavy rain to the restaurant. It was a good restaurant! The set our food on FIRE! ( Don't worry, they were meant to do that.) The End.
